| 9 | 09/14/2022 - After further investigation, it seems that "Polly" was indeed a nickname or shortened version of "Mary". Various web sites reference this weird transition from Mary to Polly. From Wikipedia, "Polly is a given name, most often feminine, which originated as a variant of Molly (a diminutive of Mary)." So, it seems that this David's wife who is referenced as Polly could be Mary Boynton as referenced in the "Edmund Lewis of Lynn Mass" book.
